Toughened cover glass is a durable protective glass solution designed for electronic displays, touch panels, smart home devices, control panels and other demanding applications. We provide custom OEM toughened cover glass in different sizes, shapes and thicknesses, with options for chemical strengthening or thermal tempering.
Our manufacturing process includes precision cutting, CNC edge processing, drilling, chamfering, silk screen printing and surface treatments such as anti-glare (AG), anti-reflective (AR) and anti-fingerprint (AF) coatings. Depending on the application and glass thickness, we can recommend the appropriate strengthening process to achieve the required durability, optical performance and flatness.

Cutting: Rough shapes by diamond unit or laser cutting from big sheet of glass substrate into rough shapes of the final products, but edge is still sharp and big tolerances.
CNC processings:Edge grinding and chamfering, slotting, hole drilling.
Tempering: Chemically strengthening for thickness under 3.0mm and thermally tempering for 3.0mm thickness above.
Silk screen print: For thin thickness cover glass option, we use resin ink for print and for thermal tempering we use 3.0mm thickness above.
AR means anti reflection by electroplating base on different spectral bands, single side increase 3-4% light transittance and double sides up to 99% at most.
AF with 2 kinds of methods including electroplating(costly but more durable) and spray(cheaper but less durable), it can also protect the AR coating from easy peel off.
AG means anti glare to scatter the ambient light and sun light from glare.
Bonding: Mainly focus on 3M tapes including adhesive transfer tape, VHB tape and OCA tapes.
Lamination: Foil to protect from dirt and explosion proof sheet for better anti scatter.

The above picture shown how chemical toughening can improve the hardness of glass surface.
Because the size of K atom is bigger than glass’ Na atom.
Under chemical reaction, the K atom will replace the Na atom and the desity of glass will increase.
The chemical toughening time longer, the reaction will deeper, the hardness will be better.
In daily application, the material belongs to thin glass, which not suitable for thermal tempering(It used high temperature + strong wind blow to change the glass structure to stronger).
So the chemical toughening is the best choice to make the glass stronger.
