First, tempered display cover glass materials selection including:

1.Glass substrate: Normally tempered display cover glass has 2 options including soda lime glass and aluminosilicate glass. But each kind of glass has different costs and options(Like Panda, Dragon Tail, Gorilla). We cherish your budget and wish to recommend most suiable substrate solutions.

2.Inks: We offer 2 kinds of inks including low temperature ink(Common or UV) and ceramic ink base on your application, indoor or outdoor purpose.

Second, base on your tempered display cover glass drawing :

We will split your design into cutting drawing(Automatic production), CNC drawing and silkscreen print files. Which makes the final glass from substrate into real piece.

Third, each kind of tempered display cover glass coatings(AR-anti reflection, AG-anti glare, AF-anti fingerprint):

To AR, there are 5 kinds of color tones depend on actual purpose including:

Light blue/Blue puple: For consumer electronics with double sides coating transmittance: 96~98%.

Green/Yellow green: For optical or high end display with double sides coating transmittance: 97~99%.

Golden yellow: For solar panel with double sides coating transmittance: 93-96%.

Purple red: For special optical filter or in car cover lens with double sides coating transmittance: 95-97%.

Color free: For high end display with double sides coating transmittance: 98-99.5%.

Different kind of color tone has different costs.

To AG, there are different parameters to be analyzed including:

1.Visible light transmittance(VLT).

2.Roughness(Ra).

3.Haze.

To AF, we offer 2 kinds of coatings:

Plating, it’s durable but cost will be higher.

Spray, cheaper but less durable(several thousand times rub).

Which depends on frequency of usage.

Forth, silkscreen print:

For most of the tempered display cover glass, the thickness is less than 3mm. And ceramic ink is only suitable when thickness is 3mm above.

So we usually use low temperature ink but if you will need for outdoor purpose, usually we recommend UV resistance ink(Like Seiko).

But if thickness more than 3mm and less requirement on flatness for outdoor application, we can recommend ceramic ink(The layer can’t peel off even by knife).

Fifth, CNC processing:

It refers to tolerance(precise as +/-0.05) and different edges options(2D,2.5D, polish etc).

Sixth, bonding:

We usually offer 2 kinds of tape bonding including various of 3M tape(Or VHB) depends on different application purpose and thickness.

To OCA tape, it mainly used for fully transparent and whole glass bonding.

How Weiman Inspect The Tempered Display Cover Glass?

To guarantee every unit of cover glass can fully comply with your design, we will arrange fully inspection to each unit including:

Dimensions: First unit of glass full dimension check, every unit fit in dimension fixtures and finish product checking.

Printing: Paint adhesion test, color difference check and every unit under visual check.

Coating: AR(transmittance in different wavelength), AG(VLT, haze, roughness) and AF(Water angle).

Tempering: Thermally tempered(Particle test and IK test), chemically strengthened(CS, DOL and pencil hardness test).
