How Weiman Inspect The Display Window Glass?

In Weiman, we are not only arrange visual and dimensional inspection for each unit of OLED display window glass but also:

Thermal tempering we will arrange for particle test and IK(drop ball) test.

Chemical strengthening we will test hardness and its CS/DOL.

Paint test:

1.The paint adhesion test(use knife to draw cross and peel by 3M tape to see if the paint will peel off).

2.The color test(Use colorimeter to check if the color of finish glass meet golden sample).

Coating test:

To AR(Anti reflection), we will test different light transmittance in different spectral bands and adhesion.

To AG(Anti glare), we will test light transmittance(VLT), haze and roughness(Ra) to see if the final effect can meet the customer’s expectations.

To AF(Anti fingerprint), we will test the coating effect under water angle test and durability by rubber test.

How We Can Bond The Display Window Glass Into Our Device?

Since the display window glass is protection guard of LCD / OLED screen, it should be bonded to the screen front.

Usually our customer will request us offer tape adhesion surface including:

Adhesion transfer tape, it’s the most regular way to selected based on the required glass thickness to be a protective layer for LCD and OLED displays(Like 467Mp with 0.05mm).

VHB tape, for color / waterproof requirement.

OCA tape, it’s a kind of fully transparent optical tape fully bond to the screen surface like protector on phone.

A1:Yes, we offer thickness from 0.33mm to 3mm depends on your design. The thicker the better impact resistance but of course heavier.

A2:A simple table to tell the chemical strengthening result between soda lime glass and high aluminosilicate glass:

Q3: What is the difference between chemically strengthened and tempered display glass?

A3: Chemically strengthened focus on cover glass thickness 3.0mm below with better flatness performance.

Thermally tempered focus on display cover glass thickness 3.0mm above, which is safety glass.

Q4:Can you provide custom shapes and CNC holes for display window glass?

A4:Sure, just custom base on drawing design.

Q5:Can display window glass be supplied with AR, AG or AF coating?

A5:Yes, single side or double sides, only one coating or two coatings or all 3 coatings together applicable.
