Raw Material Purchase:

Glass subtrate: To custom display glass, there are 2 kinds of glass substrate widely applied in market including soda lime glass and aluminosilicate.

To soda lime glass, it’s a kind of cost competitive option with hardness 6H. When you view from edge, you will find a little greeniesh. It widely applied in Middle to Low end electronics.

To aliminosilicate, it’s another kind with higher cost compare to soda lime glass but better hardness(8-9H), When you view from edge, you will find white. It widely applied Middle to High end applications.

Inks: The regular option for the ink is resin ink(also called low temperature ink), if special requirement in UV resistance we can purchase from Seiko or Teikoku.

PS: You may even heard ceramic ink that never peel off, it mainly used with thermally tempering, thicker glass in 3mm.

Cutting: 

It’s the first step to cut big sheet of glass substrate into rough shape base on drawing, the dimension deviation is big and edge is rough / sharp. It’s the preparation for next step processing by diamond unit / laser cut.

CNC:

It’s the important step to custom display glass final shapes / sizes / holes. The precision tolerance is +/-0.05mm. Different kinds of edges, polish and chamfer can be customized during this process.

Tempering:

The chemical strengthening base on ion exchange is the main option with good flatness performance and excellent optical clarity.

Coatings

AR(Anti reflection), the glass itself isn’t fully transparent but 91% light transmittance, the coating increase 3-4% and both sides up to 99% in principle.

AG(Anti glare), the purpose is to scatter the light avoid glare.

AF(Anti fingerprint), easy clean and provide AR coating protection.

Silk Screen Print

We custom display glass patterns and colors base on customer’s design by using printing machine and screens.

Inspection

After all processes done, we will arrange fully inspection including:

Appearance by visual under ambient light and dimensions check by 2D, caliper, plug gauge etc for every unit as basic requirement.

Tempering: For every batch first unit, we inspect chemically strengthening CS / DOL and particles / IK test for thermal tempering.

Coatings: Light transmittance and durable for AR, VLT / haze / roughness for AG and water angle / durable test for AF.

Paint adhesion / color difference test for silk screen print.
